Stradbroke's Past - Places - Doggetts

Doggetts (not Doggetts Farm) was a group of small cottages just to the north of New Street.

Parts of it are some of the oldest buildings in the village dating back to the 1400s. Today it is one house but in the late 1800s there were as many as 20 people living there in up to four separate dwellings. The photographs below show the buildings in 1999 when they were in a poor state of repair.
